Privacy Policy
P2PGames for Android · Effective date: 8 July 2026
In short: P2PGames collects no data. The app has no
internet access requirement for gameplay, no accounts, no ads, no analytics
and no tracking. Everything you enter stays on your device or travels only
directly to the devices you play with over Wi-Fi Direct.
Who we are
P2PGames is a local multiplayer game app for Android published by
Nico Christmann ("we", "us"). For any privacy question, contact us at
nicochristmann3@gmail.com.
What data the app processes
The app processes the following information, all of it solely on your
device and on the devices of the people you play with:
- Display name — the name you type on the home screen.
It is sent over the local Wi-Fi Direct connection to the other players in
your session so they can see who they are playing with. It is not stored
after you close the app and never leaves the local connection.
- Game state — moves, cards, dice rolls and similar
gameplay data are exchanged directly between the connected devices for the
duration of a session and are not stored.
- Device names — while searching for a session, the app
shows the Wi-Fi Direct device names of nearby devices, as provided by
Android. The app does not record them.
What we do not do
- No collection, storage or transmission of personal data to us or to
anyone else — the app contains no server backend of ours; game traffic is
exclusively peer-to-peer between your devices.
- No accounts or sign-in.
- No advertising, no analytics, no crash-reporting SDKs, no tracking of
any kind.
- No access to your contacts, files, camera, microphone or precise
location for our own purposes (see the permissions note below).
- No sale or sharing of data — we have nothing to sell or share.
About the permissions the app requests
- Nearby Wi-Fi devices (Android 13 and newer) — required
by Android to discover and connect to nearby players over Wi-Fi Direct. The
app declares to Android that this permission is never used to derive your
location.
- Location (Android 12 and older only) — on these
Android versions the system requires the location permission for Wi-Fi
Direct peer discovery. The app does not read, compute, store or transmit
your location; the permission is used exclusively so that Android allows
the device scan.
- Wi-Fi control permissions — used to create and join
the local Wi-Fi Direct connection that the games run over.
Children
The app is suitable for general audiences. Since no data is collected
from anyone, no data is collected from children either.
Your rights
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have rights of
access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and
the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Because we do
not collect or store any personal data, there is typically nothing we could
look up, hand over or delete — but you can always reach us at the address
above with any request or question.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of the app ever changes what data is processed (for
example, by adding an online mode), this policy will be updated before that
version is released, and the effective date above will change.
